ACCF currently receives no government funding, so we rely on the generous donations and fundraising activities of the public. This raffle, run by Insight Charity Fundrasing Services, is ACCF's largest fundraiser. It enables us to continue our work raising awareness of cervical cancer, and providing vaccination and treatment for women in developing countries. We are proud to work closely with Insight CFS to be able to offer our supporters the chance to win a brand new Mitsubishi Colt valued at $20,356. So far, 9 cars have been won by 9 very happy ACCF supporters.
Andrew Petersen from Wagga Wagga, pictured above with daughter Gayle and their new car, was the lucky winner of draw no. 9. Andrew initially purchased his tickets in the raffle after hearing how sincerely the Insight operator spoke of ACCF's work. "Having an aunty that died from cervical cancer and having daughters that had both received the free cervical cancer vaccine, it only seemed right to support the ACCF," he said. Ask Andrew what the best thing about winning the car was and the answer is simple: "The best part about winning the car was giving it away." Andrew gave the car to his daughter Gayle! "That day was very special to me as I was able to see, through Gayle, the joy of giving," Andrew said. ACCF was extremely proud to be able to present Andrew with his brand new car; what a deserving winner!
